Practice History

Pediatric Health was founded in 1969 by Dr. Jose Lopez in Freehold, New Jersey. From the very beginning, Dr. Lopez dedicated himself to the health and well-being of the community, caring for children and families with compassion and commitment. For Dr. Lopez, pediatrics was more than a profession—it was a calling.

Over the past 55 years, our unwavering focus on exceptional patient care has allowed us to grow to four locations across Monmouth County, with a team of 14 providers.

In 2019, Pediatric Health joined Advocare, becoming part of a larger physician-led network that offers security and stability for both our practice and our patients—while continuing to deliver the same superior healthcare you’ve come to trust.

At Advocare Pediatric Health, we understand the daily challenges families face. That’s why we’re here when you need us most. To make care more accessible, we’re open 365 days a year, with extended office hours until 8 PM Monday – Friday at our Stillwells Corner Road location. We also offer sick visits on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays to help keep your children out of the emergency room. Our doctors are available after hours for on-call support, helping to triage urgent situations.

Although we’ve grown into a larger practice, we maintain the warmth and personal touch of a small, family-friendly environment.
